DUI dude

I have been so focused on the boys from the Beantown, that I kinda stopped looking… Ddub is enough for me… lol I wish….

I got onto my usual online dating website and starting lurking and winked at a few cuties. This guy messaged me and asked if I wanted to chat, so I check out his profile and he was ok… He could spell which is hard to find these days.. lmao

We correspond and it progresses to e-mailing. Well, he tells me he has a deep dark secret. So, I said ok~what is it?? He says he got a DUI last year and doesn’t have his license right now. Will get it back this month. So, I say well everyone makes mistakes. Then he says he has another one. That he lives with his parents because the DUI has been so expensive. I mean, I had an ex-boyfriend that got a DUI and it ruined his life for a couple of years. Still isn’t too good, but it is tough to come out of.

Then, we start instant messaging and he tells me he can’t wait to hear my voice and gives me his phone number. I put it in my phone, but have no intentions on calling him yet. Well then the next sentence he types…. But my phone is cut off right now. I haven’t had time to pay the bill… Yea c’mon… Don’t give out your number when your phone is off.. Just play it off sucker.
Then he asks me if I have Facebook and I say yea and he sends me a request. I accept and his first status message says…
“For all you terds that have my phone number my damn phon got turned off today i had to pay the light bill or they were goin to turn the lights off in my trailor phone will be back on thur”

Ok, that’s enough.. trailor… terds… noo…. I have the worst luck attracting the losers!!

Then, I get back on the dating website because I get a message from someone who seems better than the DUI guy.

Well I get a message from Mr. DUI that says well yea, see you are on this website looking for other men. Good luck in your search, must not have been good enough for ya??

My response…
That is how I roll. I don’t put all of my eggs into the basket before I know what might happen. Good luck in your search with your In an Open Relationship according to your Facebook page.

So long loser.. I know I might be harsh, but I can’t have someone like this… I know times are tough, but I need someone who is reliable, not jealous and has a job to where the cell phone never gets turned off…

Dating is so hard in your 30’s.. Not fun. I just want someone stable, fun to be around and loving.. That isn’t that hard, is it

Beach

I went to Myrtle Beach with Kim and the kids, my Mom, Aunt Nelda and Blair. I love Myrtle Beach. Have grown up going there since Middle School. We always have a blast. Of course, me living by myself had to adjust to staying with 7 others in a 2 bedroom condo had a breakdown but then had a blast after that. My nephew Luke is hilarious. I am so so glad he went. Had me laughing almost the whole time. He is 16, so I won’t get much more time like this with him. We had a good time overall, but think we might try Orange Beach or PCB next year for different scenery.

Blockhead Fun

Through all of mine and Amanda’s blockhead experiences… we met a couple of girls that are really fun. The boys webcasted their next to last show and so we all got together and watched it and had the best time..

It really seems like we have been friends longer than just since June.

Dana hosted the event and we had NKOTB themed food. Some Waffles, Cheese Grits from Waffle, Boston Crème Pie and etc. We looked at old pics of the boys, played with the dolls and then watched the webcast. One of the funniest NKOTB memories ever….

I love my blockhead girls.

NKOTB Memphis Concert

It had almost been a month since our last adventure. We got our tickets and booked our hotel and off to go to Memphis, TN baby… I drove and it was the longest drive.. Nothing in Mississippi but a Sonic that stunk big time. So, we get to Memphis and scope out the scenery and see if we could get some Facetime. But the venue was on Mud Island and you couldn't really get it to easily.

So, we check in and rest a little and walk to The Peabody Hotel to see the famous duck show which was really neat. The boys were rumored to have been there earlier. Joe was also at Graceland before the show..

We ate dinner quickly and walked backed to the hotel. Got our getup on and off we went. People were really appreciating our hats in Memphis. No hate going on whatsoever. It was a much better environment. The concert was so freakin bad ass…. We were seriously on a high for a long time… Oh well, the tour was almost over so we hoped to get on the cruise in May 2010…. Memphis was a blast, the best beer ever..

Oh, I almost forgot. We were trying to find the bathroom and Amanda’s flip flop busted.. Of course, I come ready and had nail glue but she danced right out of the flip flop and it broke again. Lmao We were so packed in our row, that I had to hold my leg a certain way to fit in.. So, after 2 hours.~I had the worst Charlie Horse ever. After the concert ended, we start walking back to the tram with Amanda barefoot and me limping with my Charlie.. We were dying laughing, then find out the tram was broke so we had to walk across this bridge that was like a mile long with no shoes and a Charlie horse.. Rough, but fun. So, as soon as we get to the street we steal a cab from these two girls and cruise to the hotel.. Best $2 ever… Good times in Memphis. Can’t wait to go back.

We waited on ddub's tweets for the waffle house... We went and it was packed out. Then he tweets he has no voice and needs the rest. I just knew my facetime virginity was going to be taken away that night. But the man has to rest up, so just glad he let us know. We were disappointed but Memphis was banging. We had a bum experience at the Burger King, was kinda scary but we survived...

NKOTB Atlanta Concert

The boys on fire!!

Me and Amanda--My hat is blinging!! lol

Wish he was blowing me a kiss, but close enough
After stalking the beantown boys for two nights, we were so worn out. Poor Amanda wasn’t able to take little catnaps like I could. So, I headed home that afternoon, took a power nap. Got ready for the concert with my wonderful hat Angela made me… I was going to be smokin’ in it… lol Well it started raining on the way. So, I was worried about my hat getting wet but it didn’t.

We had 4th row seats, so we were pumped up!! We got a daiquiri and made our way to our seats. Watched a little bit of the Jabbawockees and then Jesse McCartney came on.. Wow, he is one hot boy.. Yes, I know he is young, but his music will make you dance…

So, while he was on… I get poked in the back.. like excuse me… So I turn around and this lady asks me to take my hat off because she couldn’t see.. I was like umm, you all are sitting down. Get up and you might could see. I wasn’t rude at all. I basically said this is what I had it made for and turned around.. I wanted to get my facetime witch.. So, I turn back around start dancing again and Wownch.. again with the poking. This time I turn around and someone else is asking me to take it off… Sorry ladies. No can do!!

The concert starts and wow the NKOTB are so freakin hot.. Jordan checked my hat out and smiled and Ddub pointed at me--like Oh yea--I likey!! So, it was all worth it. I may have gotten looks and pokes-but Ddub saw me. and that is all that matters. I didn’t want the night to end. We were on such a high and instantly wanted to go to more concerts..

New Kids at the Ritz

As all of you know, I am a BIG fan of New Kids on the Block.. Go ahead and chuckle... But they seriously kick ass!! The shows are just full of adreneline and just can't get enough. So, we heard they were in Atlanta rehearsing before the concert on Thursday. I pick Amanda up at work on Tuesday night and we head to Lakewood. Well we know the park a good bit so we tried to get in anyway we knew how. The golf cart guy wasn't being nice so a couple of girls were in a parking lot so we started hanging with them. More blockheads~what great peeps..Donnie had tweeted earlier that two chicks got in and were sitting on the stage with them so that’s what gave us the idea to come down... uugghh~so jealous!! So none of us were getting in, Security was Tight!! We sat and tried to get the band by tweeting to come let us in. Angela flooded Donnie’s page by saying the police came which they did, but they just asked us if we were lost… lmao!

We waited and cars starting coming out, but we couldn’t really tell it was any of the guys. One of our fellow blockheads followed a van to the Ritz Downtown, but it wasn’t who we wanted it to be.

The cars started dwindling and a black hummer pulls out and Jeanine starts to follow but they turn into the gas station and pull into the parking lot. It was two of the band members. Ebassman and Colorblind Fish. So, it was totally cool to meet them. As I was searching for my camera and jumped out of the car~at first look I thought it was Donnie but I soon realized it wasn’t. So, we get home about 2am… I have a 6:30am meeting so I was beyond tie-yard..

Day 2 or Wednesday

We decided to try again. We are determined to get our Face Time. We know several of the blockheads that we met last night are already in the parking lot. Once we got to Lakewood our ole trusty parking lot was kind of full, so we pull into a neighborhood behind Lakewood and park and we hear them rehearsing. Well more blockheads start showing up, but we are so excited and just talking about all NKOTB stuff. About 10:30pm, the police come rolling up… Oh shiat!! He tells us the neighbors complained that we were trespassing, not that we were yelling as they would get finished with songs, but trespassing. Come on now, we were in the dog poop area. Lol

He tells us we need to leave at 11pm. So, we listen until they finish and we speed to the parking lot to see who is coming out. My friend Jeanine had binoculars so we were ready. We see a van pull out and see three heads in the back, so off we go. We just know this has to be them. We follow them to the Ritz downtown and it was just some regular guys. Bummer….. Well then we decide to go to the Ritz Buckhead.

Jeanine calls and says she is going back to Lakewood and then we call Stephanie and she is having a fit that Danny had just pulled out of the parking lot where we had parked. Crapola… we were pissed but they told us he was in a Red Ford Edge. So, we get off at Lenox and Amanda is about to turn left and I tell her I think it’s to the right and as she turns right-there is the red Ford Edge. OMG~she blasted the gas… whoa!! So, we follow them right to the Ritz and Amanda is like get out, get out. So, I get my camera and Danny gets out and gets his stuff and tells the crowd which isn’t big~lets make this easy and fast. You could tell he was SO TIRED…. I asked him if he was tired and he said oh yeah. So, as Amanda gets parked we get a snapshot with him. We are just in pure disbelief. Timing is everything… Just one second more and we would have missed him. He really seemed so nice.

I then call Stephanie and she tells us that her and Jeanine are following Jon and Joe and they are on the way to the Ritz. We were freaking pumped…. We wait and here they come. Jon gets out and yells… “hey guys” and bounces in the hotel. I got a quick snapshot of him. No one else really got a good pic…

Then Joe gets out and people just start crowding him, so he signs a couple of autographs and poses for a couple of pics but then goes in the hotel. I tell you, seeing his baby blues up close~OMG~he is FINE~~

Our friend Jeanine decides to check into the Ritz so we were able to go in and hang out. We got pics with all of the band and YoungQ told us that Donnie was in work mode and wasn’t stopping anytime soon…. **heartbreaks** We kind of figure Jordan is with Donnie.

About 2am or so, we decide to call it quits. The next morning we hear Donnie went out to the parking lot at Lakewood and took 15 girls to the Waffle House.

Oh well, I feel blessed to get the Face Time we did get. If it is meant to be, then it will happen.

To end the stalking blog, we had an awesome two nights/mornings of fun and getting to meet other blockheads. We are truly an army!!
Amanda, Danny and myself...

Relay for Life

Me with Luke and Vic during Luminary Ceremony. One of my fave parts of Relay
He is so hot, I can't stand it.

The first lap of Relay lead by Cancer Survivors

Our campsite

Amanda and Pat grilling Hot Dogs that were Yummo!!

Relay for Life was last weekend and gets more amazing every year! I started participating in 2002, but didn't go to the event since it was Amanda and Jason's wedding. But since 2003, I have been the team captain and enjoy it every year.

This year I joined the Steering Committee as a co-chair for the Ceremonies. So, basically we help plan all the ceremonies (opening, luminary, survivors reception and closing). So, needless to say I have been busy and wasn't able to spend as much time with my team as usual.

The Cancer Program team rocked this year. We sold Hot Dogs, Raffle tickets for a Ipod, bracelets and our usual bingo. We made over $600 which is great for one night. Our team raised over $5600. I almost have reached my goal of $500. Only $30 short....

I am attaching pictures from the event. If you would like more information, please visit http://www.cobbrelay.org/ It is a worthwhile cause to raise money for. Everyone has been touched by cancer.

Rollercoaster Ride

Whew, it has been a while since I updated. I seriously feel like I have been on a rollercoaster ride for the last month….

Amanda and I went to Florida for two NKOTB concerts which kicked ass big time!! We left on Wednesday and made it to Orlando and checked into the hotel. Embassy Suites is the bomb!! Thanks Jace!! So, we just kind of hung out on Thursday since we had to drive to Ft. Myers that evening for the first concert. I think it took us close to four hours to get there. My GPS took us back roads and you should have saw Amanda’s car after all the Love Bugs hit it. I drove down since I can’t see well at night and those bugs were hitting right and left. The windshield was COVERED… Too bad we didn’t take a picture…. So, once we got there they were playing. We didn’t care, we just started grooving. They changed up the show some and then they went to play in the middle of the floor and we were about 5 deep. I tried to touch one of them. If we had only gone about 5 minutes before, we could have made it to the front row. Oh well, we thought we were set for tomorrow night.

On Friday morning, we are worn out, but get up and go to Universal Studios which was really neat. We met a lot of characters and rode a couple of rides. I want to go back and spend some more time there.

So when we were riding around on Thursday, I see this place called the ICEBAR. I was like OMG…. I saw on TV, that it is a bar made of ice. It is 27 degrees and they give you coats, gloves and socks. So, I told Amanda-We so are going. So, we go at 7:15pm and had a coolio time. The drinks were the best. Grey Goose vodka rocked our socks off…. The bartender, Gene was the finest thing in Orlando besides NKOTB. He was so nice, we kept thinking about him throughout the trip.

Onward to the next event, NKOTB concert #2…. This concert was full throttle. We were once again late, but the ICEBAR was totally worth it. So, we knew when to go to the piano, but the bouncers made us go back to our seats. We were PISSED beyond belief. We just knew this was the night we were going to get to touch one of them…..
So, we got by and were about 3-4 deep. Danny did look me in the eyes… Swoon….. I just wish it could have been Donnie. He is the man!! Sexy Mofo! I didn’t want the concert to end. I know they are older and everything, but their concerts rock! Will keep you dancing the whole time.

We end up going to Bahama Breeze to eat and drink. We are both tired and sore from everything we had done. We wanted to go dancing, but everything was either closed or we didn’t really know where to go. So, we go back to the hotel knowing our trip was almost over.

We leave Orlando about noon and are doing good on time. We stop to have a potty break in Tifton and the car doesn’t crank. I start looking for someone to jump us off and they agree. It works but then Jason tells Amanda to turn on her headlights. Dead again. So, the tow truck comes and tows the car to the Toyota Dealership and takes us to the hotel. It was just the battery, so it wasn’t a big deal. We just wish the tow guy would have looked at the car so we could have just gotten a new battery and got home that night. Oh well, just another story to tell.

My mom has surgery on Monday, so I was nervous about that. Everything turned out fine. I am usually the patient, so it was hard to watch my mom being taken back. She came home on Wednesday already lifting things she shouldn’t. She was a real trooper. She is back to driving and shopping, so I know she is feeling better. She is ready to go to the beach!! Oh yeah!

On Sunday a week after being back from Florida, I am cleaning my house. I vacuum the stairs and boom my back is out. I could hardly walk upstairs to the bed. I have never been in such pain as that. I had to stay out of work for 2 days and finally able to go to the doctor and luckily the muscle relaxers helped.

Then this Saturday, I start getting a head cold. I know, I am whining a good bit. I just feel like I can’t catch a break. But such is life and I will get over it. I had so much fun in Florida. I am ready to go back and see Gene… lol

NKOTB is coming back to ATL in May, so I am stoked about that. Get my Donnie fix again.

Latest Happenings

Ansley opening her gifts
Valentine Bouquet from Amanda, Jason and Ansley

Happy Birthday Kim!!

Ashley and Mom at Cheesecake

I am so bad about keeping up with the blog. Since my last post, not too much has been happening. Ashley spent the night and we met Lisa, Joe, Avery, Zac, Amanda, Chris, Fred, Mary Sue and her husband at Gumbeaux. I haven’t eaten there in years. I ordered Shrimp and Grits and had the worst heartburn ever! It was fericous! Ash and I had fun, went to Target and bought her a Puppy In My Pocket. We really didn’t do much on Saturday. Jason, Amanda and Ansley came over and she gave us all except Ansley Tattoos. Oh lala! I got a horse on one wrist and a fireball on the other. Nice! She has a airbrush tattoo machine she got for Christmas. Once Ashley was dropped off, we went to Best Buy and Jim N Nicks where they have the best Queso Dip. OMG, it is so good~~I have been craving it since then. Oh I almost forgot, we took the boys for a walk and they did pretty good until we got to a certain house and they went wild because of some other dogs. Ashley had Sanford and it scared her to death, so I took him for a while until she could handle him again. Boy, having 3 dogs on leashes are a big job.

On Sunday, we didn’t go to church because some of my mom’s family came to visit her and my dad. Greg came over and we took the dogs to the park. It was such a nice day. The dogs loved it. He took them all in a baseball field and just let them run. They napped for the rest of the day. Lol

The week was ok, seemed to just drag on. I got sick with a stomach virus on Thursday and didn’t start feeling better until Monday.

Even though I was sick on Valentine’s Day, I got some pretty tulips from Amanda and Jason and then a plant from my mom. I even got a dozen carnations from co-workers, so I lucked out.

I took Monday off and we went to Cheesecake Factory for Kim’s birthday! The food is so so good there. I did pretty good with the dessert. I had a goblet of strawberries… yumm-o.

Last night, I met Brandy and Diane from High School at Texas Roadhouse and caught up. Facebook is so amazing, I think I like it better than MySpace now. Didn’t think I would ever say that, but a lot more people are on it that I know than MySpace.

Oh well, this is all pretty boring probably. I might go out with Chris this weekend, not sure. He sent me a text that he missed me. Sweet, but I just don’t know. I am going to start going back on the dating websites soon, just had to kind of take a break. When it’s time, my prince will come…..

Friday, February 6, 2009

This weekend was good and scary. My date with Chris on Friday was good. We decided to forgo the hockey game and just do dinner. I was kind of glad, because I was worn out and he said he wanted to take it slow. Not sure why he thought the hockey game was speeding up????? Lol Anyway, he picked me up and brought me a dozen roses. That caught me off guard. I haven’t gotten roses from a guy in such a long time… Made my heart melt a little.. Anyway, I was home by 9pm. I will go off with him again, but just not a spark there. More of a friend spark…

Saturday, I went to Lisa’s pampered chef party and going to have a party later this month. I love that stuff. Later I went to Amanda and Jason’s for grilled burgers which were Yumm-o….

Sunday, I didn’t feel good. Had a real bad headache due to high blood pressure. I didn’t even go to church which I felt like I needed to go, but just didn’t feel like it. I hung around the house pretty much all day except to go to the grocery and etc. I had just taken my bath and already took the dreaded Tylenol PMs; which I am addicted to because of all my transplant meds that I am on.

Anyway, my mom called and said she was on the way to take my dad to the ER for chest pains. My dad is a strong man, doesn’t complain very much and generally will not go to the hospital unless there is a good reason. So, I knew it was serious. I felt like I needed to be with them, but because I was drugged with the Tylenol PMs~I didn’t want to risk driving and falling asleep. So, I just stayed at home and waited for my mom to update me. They ended up admitting him to the hospital and did a heart cath which turned out fine. They think it is either Acid Reflux or lung problems. We are so relieved and thankful that it isn’t his heart. He said he can deal with anything now he knows. His dad died of heart failure, so it scares him….

So, he gets released on Tuesday and they go home to a cold house because the furnace is out.. Brrrrr… They are hopefully getting it replaced today.

Thank goodness it is Friday. Even though I was off for 2 days, this has been the longest, draining week. I am ready for the weekend. Ashley is spending the night and we are going to hang with Amanda, Ansley and Jason. Ash is bringing her tattoo machine to give everyone tattoos.. lol

Misc...

I have decided instead of a dating blog, I am just going to blog about some of the things I am doing. Since I haven’t been doing much dating. I am trying to get back into the scene, but kind of happy where I am right now.

Before the end of the year, the ex called and we have started chatting and hanging out a little. It makes me feel good that he feels he can still come to me for a little pep me up. When we were married, he used to get depressed some and I would always make him feel better. So, I am just going to let things be. I feel like God placed him back in my life for a reason.

Tomorrow I am going to a hockey game with Cuz…. aka Chris. Chris is known by two of my best friends. He is Jason’s cousin and is one of Joe’s best friends. So, we tried to go out before but he canceled and then I canceled the second time. I know Chris is a good guy and everything, but think that I want to be friends and feel like he wants more.

So, we will see what happens tomorrow. I am ready to see some fights on the ice… This will be the first to see the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Amanda and I are going to see New Kids in March. I feel like such a tweener since I still like them, but they freakin rock! Donnie is finnnee!! So, I am looking forward to that! March 11th can’t get here quick enough.

I will update after the game!

Catfish Charmer!

This one I call Catfish Charmer! Steve messaged me on Match.com sometime last year and I am just getting around to blogging...So, I ended up finding him on MySpace and we messaged back and forth for a while. Started texting. We talked on the phone for a while and he seemed to be ok. One thing though is he couldn't spell and that is a pet peeve of mine. I mean even the smallest words, he had a hard time with. But sometimes, people have a hard time~so I tried to look past it.We ended up meeting at Jim N Nicks. He calls me and tells me he is sitting outside waiting for me. So, I park and start walking. As soon as he sees me, he stands up and I get blinded by his Gold catfish charm on his gold rope necklace. I mean, it was blinging.... I give him a hug and we sit down. To add to his necklace, he is wearing a vacation t-shirt with fishing lurges on it. OMG!! The whole time we are eating, he is just staring at me telling me how sparkly my blue eyes are and how my eye shadow really makes my eyes stand out. Is he just fishing for comments or something??? lolSo, this is Friday night and Saturday is the GA/Ala game. So, I ordered a blackout shirt from online but it didn't get here in time. So, I was in search for a shirt. I tell him this and he's like I want one too. Can I go to your party with you with us wearing our matching shirts?? He asks if he can go at least 4 times. Nicely I tell him, that I want to get to know him first before introducing him to my friends. So, he pretty much insists that he drives me across the street to the sporting goods store to see if I can find a shirt. He opens the door for me and everything. Anyway, we go get shirts and they didn't match exactly.... whew... So, he is wanting to go for another drink. We drive around and finally ended up at Applebees. He is just really a bore. I am trying to think of what I can say to end this date. Luckily I was sick, so I used that. So, he walks me to my car and I take off. I don't even get to the red light and he has texted me. "So, do you think you want to Date Me??" I didn't even respond, he texted the same message again for a total of 3 times, before I answered. Nicely I tell him, I want to get to know you more before anything is decided.

Then it is Saturday and I am watching the game with a bunch of friends. He continues to text and ask if I miss him as much as he misses me?? Lmao!! Hell no, I don’t miss him. I don’t know him, I am pretty rude in my response. He still doesn’t get it.

Everyday, he texts me a picture of flowers or himself…. It is cool that he thinks of me, but too many he crossed the line on the self portraits…

Anyway, I meet him one more time. I figure what the heck, one more chance… Nah! Couldn’t do it. So, I deleted him off my MySpace page and he finally got the hint after not responding to his texts. He still sends me forwards or holiday greetings. He was a good ole country boy, but not for me…

The catfish got me…. Hook~ line~ and sinker!
